We are a true example of best friends falling in love.
We met when we were 6 years old at Mason’s grandparents' ranch in Durkee, Oregon. It was there that we would go on to have countless childhood memories from “ranch camp” and fair steers to carpooling to school, and bickering like an old married couple. All through school, we were good friends, but that was all. It wasn’t until after graduating high school that we realized there was something between us beyond friendship.
The friendship we had had for each other all those years had grown to be something more. Many close family and friends will tell you that we were the last to figure it out, and everyone else could see we were meant to be together since we were just kids.
The real testament to our relationship came when we started dating in November of 2021. one of us was in Eastern Oregon, and the other was 2800 miles away in Texas. 3 years of long-distance only solidified the fact that we were meant to be. The foundation of our relationship, being a lifetime of friendship and trust, allowed us each to take opportunities that meant we were not always together.
After college, we both knew we wanted to come back to Baker and be close to family and friends. In June of 2025, we were engaged while on a camping trip in Stanley, Idaho.
We have been through many phases of life, and loved each other in all of them. We are both so incredibly excited for all the experiences up ahead as a married couple and to build a life together here in Baker County, with our friends and loved ones to support us.
We cannot wait to celebrate this new chapter of our story with all of you!
